Optics Lab
In Optics Lab we studies the behaviour and properties of light, including its interactions with matter and the construction of instruments that use or detect it.
Optical phenomenon and related instruments:
Ø Interference (NEWTON RINGS)
Ø Diffraction (Grating, single slit)
Ø Polarisation (polariser)
Ø Dispersion (prism, spectrometer)
Major Resources :
OPTICAL SOURCES: Lasers (Semi Conductor lasers, λ = 632.8 nm & He-Ne laser) Sodium Lamp (λ = 589 & 589.6 nm), Mercury Lamp (White light), LEDs
